Silk’n SensEpil Review

The Silk’n SensEpil system is one of the most innovative hair removal products currently on the market. It enjoys very strong sales and is highly-rated for effectiveness and ease of use. If you are looking for long-lasting hair removal, the Silk’n SensEpil system is one you will certainly want to consider.

The Technology Behind the Silk’n SensEpil

The Silk’n SensEpil uses unique, patented technology to achieve outstanding results. The technology is known as Home Pulsed Light, or just HPL. The pulsed light is very intense and is immediately absorbed by the melanin in the hair and follicle. The light is transformed into heat energy in the hair and follicle, producing a short-lived, high-intensity heat that damages the hair and follicle, reducing its ability to continue to grow. With repeated treatment, the follicle may be entirely destroyed, producing long-lasting or even permanent results. The Home Pulsed Light is released by replaceable cartridges each capable of about 750 pulses. The tool is rechargeable which makes it cordless and convenient for use.

Comparing Silk’n SensEpil VS Tria

Summary of the Silk’n SensEpil System

There are similarities with the Tria system but unique differences too. It uses pulsed light rather than a laser. The light is delivered by a light cartridge that delivers about 750 light pulses before needing to be replaced. It is also rechargeable and cordless for ease of use. Like the Tria, there are 5 intensity levels and it is recommended that you begin on 2 or 3 and adjust the setting as needed. The tool is designed to work on fairly dark hair, for people with light to medium skin complexions.

Summary of the Tria Laser Hair Removal System

The Tria hair removal tool is designed for use on medium and dark-colored hair and can only be used by those with skin tones ranging from light to medium brown. When using the tool, you shave the area first. Then, the area is treated with the laser both horizontally and vertically to thoroughly cover it. There is mild to moderate discomfort with the Tria but most don’t consider it very painful. There are 5 different intensity levels. The thicker your hair is, the more intense the setting will need to be to effectively treat it. The Tria is rechargeable and each charge lasts about 400 shots.
